Nice day,started off at Levington for breakfast in the van and watched the start of a 12 boat old barge race :) Were going to walk but started to rain so went to Ipswich to visit relatives.Heard from our son Rob on a 2 day interveiw for a job which he got !!! well done Rob :) Then back to Felixstowe to check the wind,it had picked late afternoon like yesterday so took the gear to The Dip at 4.Took the longboard out as wind dropped yesterday,reached 4 miles to Bawdsey Martello Tower then had the most brilliant beat back into the sunshine railed up and heading straight into the big swell :) I turned after 6 miles way past the peir and had some flat out broad reaching back in increasing winds !!! So a great sail and the only people I shared it with was 1 kiter and a few yachts !!! When I finished the wind had filled in with gusts to 28 kts !!!! but to tired to change down and we were going out with the Smalling for a meal - thanks to Mark and Glynis for a lovelly night and fingers crossed for some more wind tomorrow !!!
